Decision making in relation to employee remuneration continues to be one of the biggest challenges for the corporate sector.  An increasingly competitive market and new factors such as catering to the aspirations of the millennials have added a new dimension to this process.

With a view to facilitate knowledge sharing and broader discussion on the topic the EFC will conduct this year’s Employers’ Symposium on the theme “Compensation and Benefits”, aptly titled  “The Balancing Act”, on 22nd October 2015, at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla,

The keynote speaker at the Symposium will be Dr. Saman Kelegama, Chairman – Singer Sri Lanka PLC, who is also an eminent researcher in his capacity as the Head of Institute of Policy Studies Sri Lanka.  In addition to Mr. Kelegama, we will also have several overseas and local resource persons who are decision makers and specialists in their own right.

The Symposium will highlight the challenges as well as the equitable considerations / best practices that need attention when making decisions in relation to the formulation of remuneration packages affecting employees at all levels.  We hope to collate the discussion material and present it in the form of a journal to the decision makers at the National level.

Hence, we hope that you would take this opportunity to join us and attend the Symposium as a valued participant.
