We are pleased to inform that the Handbook of Industrial Relations, which is a standard reference on Labour Law and Industrial Relations has been revised and now available for sale at our office. This 2018 Edition, as in the case of previous Editions, has taken into account developments that have taken place in the field of labour law up-to-date. 

The Handbook is ideal for use not only for Employers but also for Administrators, HR, IR practitioners, students or any persons connected with the field of Labour Law/Industrial Relations.

(EFC Monograph No.4) by Mr. S.R. de Silva                                             

The Monograph titled “The Contract of Employment” authored by Mr. S. R. de Silva was first published in February 1983 and is still considered as one of the most invaluable contributions made by Mr. de Silva to the Legal and Industrial Relations literature of Sri Lanka. Mr. de Silva, who is a former Secretary General of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, is considered a luminary in the fields of Employment, Labour Law and Industrial Relations and also served as Deputy Director of the Employers’ Activities Bureau of the International Labour Office as well as in the International Organization of Employers located in Geneva. 

The 2017 Edition has been priced at -

3.                   LAW OF DISMISSAL - 2018 Edition 

(EFC Monograph No.8) –by Mr. S.R. de Silva 

A revised Edition of the above Monograph was first published in 1985 and thereafter revised in 2012. The latest Edition 2018 takes into account the relevant changes to legislation since 2012 and new Judicial Decisions that impact on the law relevant to dismissals.

4.                 DIGEST OF CASES  - 2018  (5th Edition)    

The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon is pleased to release Volume I of the 5th Edition of the Digest of Cases on Industrial Law compiled by Ms. Champika Jayasinghe, Attorney-at-law and Head of Research and Publications of the EFC.   

This Digest was first published in 2000 and, thereafter, it was updated and published on four occasions previously. The last revised Publication was released in 2009, and we are happy to release the new Edition within a span of eight years. The total number of cases referred to in the Digest is 1500. 

The Publication has been priced as follows:-
