Dasun represents the Federation in National Steering Committees and international fora on Teleworking, Green Reporting System, Labour Inspection System and Vocational Training and Skills Development. He is the Co-coordinator of the Employers’ National Network of Youth Initiatives (ENNYI) focused on empowering Sri Lankan youth to enhance their participation in the workforce. Dasun also functions as the Project Manager for important long terms projects undertaken by the Federation, such as the project on Skills Recognition for Personnel with Hands on Experience in terms of which the Skills Passport was launched in Sri Lanka for the first time.
Dasun has extensive experience in research and surveys and is part of the core team conducting Work Studies, Compensation and Benefits surveys and Organisational Climate Surveys. He is also a member of the Federation’s training faculty and is a trainer certified by the Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA/AOTS), Japan on Occupational Safety and Health Management and Work Environment Improvement. Dasun holds Certificates in Designing Successful Projects and Master Training on Effective Business Member Organisations from the International Training Center of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Turin, Italy and also a Certificate in Total Quality Management for the Service Industry from the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO).
