Gimhani is involved in providing advice to members of the EFC on matters connected with Human Resource Management, Labour Law and related employment/employee issues. She is involved in the work of the Solutions Unit of the Federation which includes reviewing and formulating Human Resource Management Policies and related documentation, HR/Legal compliance audits, drafting of job descriptions and formulating Key Performance Indicators. In addition, she coordinates the EFC Executive Diploma Programme in Employment Relations and is also involved in compiling the EFC newsletter and weekly bulletin.
She has followed a programme at the Global Employer Organisation Young Professionals’ Academy in Madrid, Spain conducted by the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) together with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and an Instructors’ Training Course on Management Training (MTP) in Osaka, Japan offered by The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), Japan and Digitalizing Training Services conducted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in cooperation with the Dutch Employers’ Cooperation Programme (DECP).
Gimhani was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2016 and prior to joining the EFC, she has gathered experience in the areas of Compliance and Human Resource Management.
