EFC Convenes 96th Annual General Meeting
The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) concluded its 96th Annual General Meeting on 30th June 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), with the participation of Trustees, Council Members and the representatives from its diverse member base.
At the meeting, the Board of Trustees and Council Members representing various Employer Groups were appointed for the financial year 2025/26.
Mr. Dinesh Weerakkody, Chairman of Union Bank PLC, was re-elected as Chairman of the Federation and Mr. Sanath Manatunge, Managing Director of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, was re-elected as the Vice Chairman.
Established in 1929, the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon serves as the national representative body for employers covering all sectors of economic activity and is the Employer constituent recognized by the Government of Sri Lanka and the International Labour Organization.
