EFC Clinic 2025 strengthened employer awareness on compliance with new employment law reforms
The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) held its second clinic for 2025 in the EFC Auditorium in Rajagiriya, on 19th August 2025 with great success.
Raising member companies’ understanding of the new legislation pertaining to the National Minimum Wage and the Budgetary Relief Allowance was the program’s main goal. In order to assure compliance and help employers comprehend their practical implications, these concepts were covered in detail.

EFC Concludes Training on Labour Laws Applicable to the Plantation Sector
The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) successfully conducted a customized training programme for Watawala Plantations PLC on 7th and 15th September 2025 at their Thalangahawela Training center. The initiative was designed to strengthen legal and HR capacities, equipping employers with updated knowledge on labour law, employee relations, and compliance frameworks, ensuring more effective management of human resources.

Employers’ Meeting on Platform Economy in South Asia Held in Collaboration with EFC, ILO and ACTEMP
The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACTEMP), successfully concluded the ILO Employers’ Meeting on Platform Economy in South Asia on 28–29 July 2025 at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.
