EFC HR/IR Forum on the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
The EFC HR/IR Forum was held on 26th November 2025, at the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon ( EFC) Auditorium, with the participation of representatives from member and non-member organizations.
The above mentioned forum focused on the theme “EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)”, which addresses new requirements relating to sustainability, environmental protection, and human rights due diligence across global supply chains.
The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Shyamali Ranaraja, Attorney-at-Law. This was followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Ms. Sonali De Silva, featuring Ms. Shyamali Ranaraja, Mr. Navindu Munidasa, Manager – Group Supply Chain, Strategy and Development, and Dr. Roshan Rajadurai, Managing Director – Hayleys Plantations.
The forum was designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the CSDDD and to highlight how Sri Lankan exporters and partner organizations can remain competitive and compliant in an evolving global market shaped by increasing sustainability and due diligence expectations.
The session concluded with an interactive exchange of views, allowing participants to engage with the speakers and discuss practical considerations relevant to the theme.
