Anupama has experience in handling a broad range of complex Labour Law matters and is involved in legal representations on behalf of member organisations before the Labour Tribunals, Workmen’s Compensation Court, Arbitration/Industrial Court and the Labour Department. She is also involved in training and advising member organisations on Labour/Employment Law and Industrial/Employee Relations.

Anupama has received training on International Labour Standards and Dispute Resolution and Prevention from the International Training Center of the International Labour Organisation (ICT-ILO), Turin, Italy and holds a Certificate on Mediation. She was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2006.

She is a sportswoman, who won the Best Athlete Shield of St. Bridget’s Convent for the years 1995, 1996 and 1997 and Athletic Colours. She has won Individual Girls’ Championship Cups in School, Borella Circuit and Colombo District Sports Meets and won places in Provincial and All Island Meets.
