Chamith joined the EFC in 2017 and is involved in the activities of its EFC Solutions – HR and Legal Unit. He has experience in conducting Human Resource Compliance Audits and Exit Interviews and reviewing Human Resource Policy Manuals. Chamith is also involved in the activities of The Employers’ National Network of Youth Initiatives (ENNYI), a programme aimed at empowering the youth of the country in order to enhance their participation in the work force.
Chamith has received training on Occupational Safety and Health Management and Work Environment Improvement from The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), Japan, on Human Resource Best Practices and Policies from the Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore, on Promotion of Youth Employment in Fragile Settings in the Context of COVID-19 from the International Training Center of the International Labour Organisation (ITC-ILO), Turin, Italy, on Management Innovation in SMEs from the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) and on Developing and Implementing Competency Systems from the EFC in collaboration with the Malaysian Employers’ Federation (MEF). He has also followed a programme at the Global Employer Organisation Young Professionals’ Academy in Madrid, Spain conducted by the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) together with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
Chamith is involved as a Psychological Counselor at community-based counseling campaigns and career guidance programmes organised by the Professional Psychological Counselors’ Association. Prior to joining the Federation, Chamith served the Red Cross Society, as a volunteer.
