Chavi joined the EFC in February 2023 and is engaged in representing member organisations in employment related litigation before Labour Tribunals, Arbitrations/Industrial Court, the Workmen’s Compensation Tribunal and the Department of Labour. He also engages in advising member organisations on Labour/Employment Law.

He was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2015 and commenced his professional career at the Attorney General’s Department as an Assistant State Counsel attached to the Corporation Unit and subsequently the Criminal Division.

Chavi has completed the Intermediate Level of Chartered Accountancy offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
