Gaya has wide exposure and experience in conducting research and surveys in compensation and benefits. She conducts the EFC Wages and Fringe Benefits Survey for the non-executive grades biennially apart from conducting various compensation and benefits surveys for different industrial sectors under the Solutions Unit of the Federation. Gaya is also a qualified trainer in occupational safety and health and is the main focal point of the EFC in relation to training/assignments/projects on the subject.

She has received extensive local and foreign training on subjects such as Research and Surveys, Productivity Development, Rural Economy Development and Occupational Safety and Health. She holds a certificate in OSH Management and Work Environment Improvement from, The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) of Japan.
