Heshani joined the EFC in January 2026 and She is engaged in representing member organizations in employment related litigation before various fora, including High Court, Labour Tribunals, Arbitrations/Industrial Court, the Workmen’s Compensation Tribunal and the Department of Labour and in advising member organizations on Labour/Employment Law and Industrial Relations.

She was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2023 and was a former Fiat Counsel attached to the Attorney General’s Department.  Currently she is pursuing her Master of Laws in public and international law at the University of Colombo.
