Kasun joined the EFC in January 2025 bringing in over 12 years of result-driven experience leading and overseeing the technology infrastructure, operations, and teams in diverse business environments (including KPO/BPO, Software Development, Apparel, Automobile, Beverage & Advisory industries). Proven expertise in IT project management, system integration, network architecture & etc.  Adept at driving digital transformation, optimizing technology systems, and ensuring seamless IT service delivery while maintaining a secure, efficient, and cost-effective IT ecosystem.  Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance business productivity.  Passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems, improve user experiences, and support business goals. Skilled in managing budgets, vendor relationships, and developing IT policies to support organizational growth and compliance standards.

Ruwan has been with the Federation since 2017 and is involved in the activities of its Solutions Unit. His main research strengths are Education Economics, Health Economics, Poverty Analysis and Labour Economics. He has contributed to the EFC publications/surveys on The Initial Assessment of The Impact of COVID -19 on Employers and Plantation Trade Unions. Ruwan also represents the EFC at various related fora.   

Before joining the Federation, Ruwan has been employed at the World Health Organisation, National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol and the Institute for Health Policy.
