Lakshika was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2012. Having commenced her professional career at a law firm in Sri Lanka, she joined the Federation in 2017. She is involved in providing advice on matters pertaining to Labour/Employment Law and Industrial Relations to member organisations and also in assignments of the EFC Solutions – HR & Legal unit for both member and non-member organisations.
She has followed programmes at the Global Employers’ Young Professionals’ Academy, Madrid, Spain offered by the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) in co-operation with the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ITC-ILO) and the training centre of the Spanish Employers’ Organisation (CEOE), and on Evidence-based Policy Making for Decent Work from the ILO Country Office for Sri Lanka and the Maldives in collaboration with the ILO Research Department in Geneva. She has represented the EFC at fora such as the International Tripartite Meeting on Supporting Grass Root Activities through the International Employers’ and Workers’ Network (SGRA) by the Japan International Labour Foundation (JILAF) and the Asia Social Dialogue Forum of the Economic, Social and Labour Council of the Republic of Korea (ESLC).
