Yashoravi has been with the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) since 2010, providing strategic legal counsel to member organisations on labour and employment law, industrial relations, and human resource management. An accomplished trainer in these disciplines, she has played a pivotal role in advancing the EFC’s training function, leading both the resource faculty and training unit to achieve significant milestones during her tenure as Head of Training.

She represents employer interests in national policy discussions and tripartite fora, including the National Labour Advisory Council, Wages Boards, and numerous steering committees. Prior to assuming the role of Director General, Yashoravi also represented member organisations in employment-related litigation before Labour Tribunals, Arbitrations, the Industrial Court, and the Department of Labour.

Yashoravi was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2007 and began her professional career at the Attorney General’s Department.

As the 14th Director General of the EFC, Yashoravi makes history as the organisation’s first female Director General. She is also the first female to lead an Employer and Business Membership Organisation (EBMO) in South Asia.
