Director of the Bureau for Employers’ Activities in the ILO Visits Employers’ Federation of Ceylon


The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) had the distinct honour of welcoming Ms. Debora France Massin, Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP), on her official visit to Sri Lanka on 27th February 2025.

This landmark visit underscored the strong partnership between the ILO and the EFC. Ms. Massin, a global voice for employers within the ILO system, was warmly received by the officials of the EFC.

During her visit, Ms. Massin engaged in discussions with EFC officials on the evolving role of employer organizations in the changing world of work, digital transformation, skills development, and labour market resilience. The discussion also touched on critical issues such as social dialogue, inclusivity, and empowering businesses to be active agents of economic growth and social development.

Ms. Massin highlighted the importance of empowering employer organizations to shape labour market policies that reflect the needs of businesses while upholding international labour standards. She commended the EFC for its longstanding leadership and innovative approaches in supporting enterprises of all sizes across Sri Lanka.
